Starfish Magic 2003-2016
StarFish Magic shows were an interactive mix of singing, dancing, storytelling, magic and improvisation. When I photograph children, I draw on my years of experience writing and performing shows, to make the sessions fun and relaxed.

'My two boys (6 ½ & nearly 5) and I have now seen four Starfish Magic performances in the last two years. We are total supporters. Starfish Magic’s flamboyant and original creativity make for thoroughly enjoyable, fun interactive performances. I get as much out of the shows as my boys do. It is a unique and affordable outing that we can enjoy together. They truly inspire youngsters to share their imagination, dance, song and spontaneity. I look forward to our next Starfish Magic experience.' Wendy Taylor

Star Fairy's Top Secret Guide to Fairyland
Written by Karen Jarvis. Illustrated by Alex Snellgrove
'Karen Jarvis (aka Star Fairy) performs in the entertaining duo StarFish. After years of bringing Fairyland and other fantastical worlds to life in her performances, she has now packed a stack of stories, poems, activities and games into an annual-style collection, with delicate but vibrantly coloured illustrations by Australian illustrator Alex Snellgrove. The stories will need to be read aloud, or alone by a reasonably competent reader, but this will be a long lasting treasure for any fairy-made child. 4+ (read aloud), 8+ (read alone).'
